The Intuitive Series
The Intuitive Series began with a storm — literally.
I have found that painting in the rain is my favorite way to create. There is something so cathartic about the sound of it, and the breakthrough of sun through the clouds after the rain cleanses everything. These paintings were made during those moments. When the weather gave me permission to stop thinking and just move.
This is the second body of work in my practice, existing in direct conversation with my Cultural Series rooted in Indian cultural inheritance. Where the Cultural Series is disciplined and architectural, the Intuitive Series is unguarded. These works follow color and instinct to wherever they want to go, built up in successive washes of Liquitex acrylic ink until the painting finds its own resolution.
