Meet Napa (naww-puh)
Natasha Patel (Napa for short) is a Gujarati-American abstract artist and the founder of Napa Gogo Art, based in Costa Mesa, CA.
She works in two parallel bodies of work that spent years pulling against each other. One rooted in the structured patterns of her Indian cultural inheritance. One driven entirely by instinct, color, and gestural freedom. She used to think they existed in spite of each other. She has come to understand they exist because of each other.
Her practice lives in the space between those two worlds. Not caught between them. Not choosing. Living inside the tension and painting from there.
She works in Liquitex acrylic inks, resin, and genuine 23k gold sourced from Thailand. Her work has been exhibited internationally including at Palazzo Ducale in Genoa, Italy, and in galleries and art fairs throughout California. In 2026 she completed her first outdoor public art installation in downtown Greenville, SC
Chroma Sutra is her debut solo exhibition, opening April 18, 2026 in Newport Beach.
