Submerged

What happens when the weight of the water becomes something you stop fighting and start feeling? Submerged lives in that moment.

Part of The Intuitive Series, this three-panel work was created without premeditation, the acrylic ink allowed to move, pool, and find its own current across the canvas. The result is something between the ocean floor and the inside of a mind, layered teal and deep green, shot through with silver light and flickers of violet, geological and fluid at once.

This is a painting about being in it. The pressure, the disorientation, the slow turn upward. 

Submerged arrives as a three-panel set and is designed to be displayed together, the composition flowing seamlessly across all three canvases.
