Dreamwalker

Dreamwalker is a 36x48x1.5 inch original painting by Gujarati-American abstract artist Natasha Patel. Created with over 100 layers of Liquitex acrylic ink on canvas, the tiger moves across a deep dark blue ground with the quiet authority of something that has never needed permission.

Inspired by a 2024 artist residency in India and the cultural weight of the tiger in Indian tradition, Dreamwalker sits at the intersection of inherited symbolism and intuitive abstraction. Her body mimics the sandstone and marble textures of India's oldest temples. She fractures like ice through her center, visible only to those who look for the full story.
